Russian official says sanctions destroy efficient fuel supply routes

ST. PETERSBURG, Jun 15 (PRIME) -- Sanctions and redistribution of supplies have taken out of action the most efficient routes for the global energy market, Deputy Energy Minister Pavel Sorokin said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on Thursday.

"Sanctions and policies against market competition have taken out of action the most efficient,v the shortest and good routes," Sorokin said.

He added that the time of Russian oil supplies grew to 30–45 days from 10 days.

Sorokin also estimated underinvestment of the global fuel market at U.S. $200–300 billion.
